CookCache Terms of Use / EULA
These terms describe current CookCache app behavior and intended App Store subscription terms. Final App Store product screens and Apple purchase sheets control the exact subscription offer shown to users.
These Terms apply to use of CookCache (com.tiltongroup.cookcache). For App Store downloads, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Apple Standard EULA) applies unless a valid custom EULA is provided in App Store Connect. These Terms are intended to supplement, not replace, any mandatory Apple terms. If there is a conflict for App Store distribution, Apple's required terms and the App Store purchase sheet control.
1. The service
CookCache is a local-first recipe organizer for recipes the user chooses to save. The current app supports user-provided text, optional source links stored for context, user-selected photos/screenshots, private recipe cards, grocery-list export, and a local mock household workflow.
CookCache is not a scraped recipe catalog. It does not fetch, crawl, scrape, host, or redistribute third-party recipe pages in the current build.
2. User content and rights
You are responsible for the recipes, text, URLs, notes, photos, and other content you add to CookCache. You should only add content you own, have permission to use, or are otherwise allowed to store for your personal/private use.
You may not use CookCache to infringe copyrights, violate platform terms, impersonate others, harass anyone, or redistribute creator content without rights.
3. Local storage and backups
The current app stores recipe, settings, mock household, and local event data on your device. CookCache does not currently provide cloud sync, server backup, or account recovery. If your device is lost, reset, or local app data is deleted, CookCache may not be able to restore your recipes unless the platform backup system separately preserved them.
4. Recipe accuracy and safety
CookCache can parse user-provided recipe text into structured cards and grocery lists. Parsing may be wrong. You must review quantities, ingredients, allergens, cooking times, temperatures, food-safety steps, and instructions before cooking.
CookCache does not provide medical, nutritional, allergy, or food-safety advice. Use your own judgment and consult qualified sources where appropriate.
5. Photo import
Photo import is user-initiated. Public photo text-extraction claims should not be made until native device QA passes. Availability and quality may vary by device, operating system, image quality, and build configuration.
6. Household features
The current household workflow is mock/local only. Mock invites store the email address or phone number entered by the user locally; they do not send real messages or create real shared accounts. Do not represent this build as having real cloud household sync until a backend exists and is tested.
7. Subscriptions and purchases
CookCache is intended to offer premium access through auto-renewable subscriptions:
- Primary annual plan: 7-day free trial, then $29.99/year until canceled.
- Secondary monthly plan: $5.99/month until canceled.
The final App Store product page and Apple purchase sheet control the exact price, duration, trial eligibility, renewal terms, taxes, and local currency shown to the user.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period or as otherwise described by Apple for the user's region/account. Purchases are charged through the user's Apple ID/App Store account. Users can manage or cancel subscriptions in App Store account settings. CookCache should include a restore-purchases option for App Store purchases.
If premium access expires, the current product intent is that saved recipes remain readable/exportable, while new imports, OCR, household sharing, and grocery export may be premium-gated.
8. Third-party services
CookCache may use Apple App Store in-app purchase systems and, when configured, RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management. These services may process purchase/subscription/customer identifiers and receipts needed to provide and restore premium access.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse CookCache, attempt to reverse engineer or attack the app or services, upload or store unlawful content, infringe others' rights, or use the app in a way that violates applicable law.
10. No warranties
CookCache is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. The developer does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or fit for any particular cooking, health, nutrition, or household purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, recipes, profits, goodwill, or device availability arising from use of CookCache.
12. Changes
These Terms should be updated before launch if CookCache adds accounts, cloud sync, real household sharing, server-side processing, remote analytics, email/SMS invites, or other material functionality.
